This is post #8 in 100DaysOfBloggingChallenge

After you survive that Day 2 of Inca Trail, everything else looks easy :). It was a 6.8 Km day walking on boulders, some forest, more of the Andes and an Inca Tunnel!

Woke up to this view…

And the small waterfall near our campsite..

I loved the tall plants on the way..

This was also the day when nature was at its best…

And we had the best campsite as well…

And to top it all, I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Andes…

No wonder I have always loved sunsets!

This was our shortest day in terms of travel time and our campsite was at Phuyupatamarca , 3650 m above sea level!

It was also the coldest night and if I remember correctly, none of us slept very well…the tent walls falling on us and the roaring sound of air and the freezing cold..still it brought is one day closer to seeing Machu Pichu!
